Review:

A journey into Chilling Unsolved murders

Unsolved Murders: True Crime Cases Uncovered

Int the book  Unsolved Murders: True Crime Cases Uncovered, you get a chilling journey into approximate 22 unsolved murder cases.

Amber Hunt and Emily G Thompson cover unsolved cases from different countries around the world.

While the unsolved murders presented to the readers are of historical origin, other cases are still fresh in our minds. To mention a few infamous murder cases, I can pinpoint the unsolved murder of the Black Dahlia, the mysterious Zodiac murders, and the chilling case of the unsolved murder of little beauty queen Jon Benét Ramsey. Those cases are known to most true crime aficionados, so I have to mention you get insight into a lot more unsolved cases in this book. Amber and Emily look back to historical unsolved cases like The Cleveland torso murders in 1935-1938; the authors even take their readers back as far as early 1920 to look into unsolved murders.

Pros and cons

Pros

Now, what do you get with a book like Unsolved murders: True Crime Cases Uncovered? I will be the first to admit I prefer to read a book on an entire case; however, now and then, I need inspiration on topics, so I find it interesting to read books like Unsolved Murders: True Crime Cases Uncovered. I use books like this for inspiration on other reads. However, not all the time, authors manage to keep me interested when reading books with less information about cases, as Hunt and Thompson have done with their book.

Each case gets assigned to one chapter. The division makes it easy to go back and look into information about a specific topic later on. Even though we don’t get in-depth information about each case Hunt and Thompson provides enough information about the unsolved cases which makes it easy making up our minds if there is a case or more we would like to look further into perhaps we might even want to buy an entire book on a topic after reading Unsolved Murders: True Crime Cases Uncovered

The writing of Unsolved Murders: True Crime Cases Uncovered

When I look at the book Unsolved Murders: True Crime Cases Uncovered; the book is written in an easy to read language where the wording flows, which makes it an easy read. The authors don’t use any academic wordings; thereby, the book will be for all true crime fans no matter if you a new to the genre or have been a real crime aficionado for years.

Cons

If you want to know about a particular case, this book will not be for you as Unsolved Murders: True Crime Cases Uncovered don’t cover the mentioned cases in depth. Due to the number of unsolved cases covered and the number of pages in the book you might feel you get a lack of information if you want a deep dive into cases.
