Why use Noir Crime book reviews?
We decided to make Noir Crime book reviews for those who want real book reviews.
It is common knowledge that a lot of reviewers do reviews in exchange for a free book. Therefore many (not all) reviewers are biased when writing a report on a book. However, at Noir Crime, we buy and pay for the books we review, so our reviews will always be guaranteed accurate reports.
Because some authors buy good reviews and upvotes for their books, they might look more compelling for a possible reader. Some even purchase downvotes for a competing author

Why did We change our rating system?
We used to do 3-5 star ratings only. However, from May 2020, we have decided to change our ratings, so our star ratings will be from 1-5 stars.
The change in our rating system is due to different aspects. First of all, we will be able to provide our readers with more reviews. Lately, we have been reading a lot of books we didn’t love. Besides, people request the 1-2 star ratings, so we thought, why not change our ratings. This approach will be a win-win for our readers as we will have the possibility to review a more considerable amount of books.
However, we still have our ethics; therefore, we will keep doing our reviews concerning our readers and the authors.
